Starting his trading journey at just 17 years old, Mohammad initially faced many challenges, trading on personal accounts without a clear strategy. He admitted to losing over £60,000 during his early years, but his persistence paid off when he transitioned to prop trading at the age of 22.
After joining FundedNext and other prop firms like My Forex Funds, FTMO, and Alpha Capital, Mohammad received his first payout just six months ago. This marked a turning point in his trading career. Since then, his profits have skyrocketed, with his latest performance showing an 18% gain on a $100,000 FundedNextaccount.
Mohammad’s trading approach is simple yet effective, focusing primarily on the NASDAQ, where he trades liquidity sweeps and reversals. He explained that by focusing on specific setups, such as sweeping the Asian high or low and waiting for a reversal pattern, he consistently maintains an 80% win rate on NASDAQ trades. His risk management strategy is equally impressive, with a maximum drawdown of just 5% daily and a smaller risk per trade once funded, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Despite his rapid success, Mohammad remains grounded in his approach. He emphasizes the importance of understanding risk and journaling both wins and losses to learn from each trade. His message to aspiring traders is clear: “Focus on a trustworthy mentor, backtest and forward-test your strategy, and always review your losses. Understanding where you’re going wrong is crucial to improvement.”
Looking ahead, Mohammad plans to transition from trading to investing in real estate, seeing it as a more passive source of income. He aims to quit trading in the next two years, with plans to use his prop trading profits to build a property portfolio.
