In an interview with The5%ers, Bahadar Khan, a 29-year-old trader from Pakistan, shared his journey to becoming one of the firm’s $100K High Stakes funded traders. Bahadar has earned five payouts totaling $5,973, demonstrating the combination of discipline, patience, and strategic thinking that defines successful trading.
Bahadar revealed that he has been trading for the past four years, steadily building a structured approach that emphasizes careful risk management and consistent results. Central to his strategy is never risking more than 1–2% of his capital on a single trade, while strictly applying stop-loss and take-profit levels. He also evaluates reward-to-risk ratios of at least 2:1 before entering any position, ensuring each trade is well-calculated.
One of the major challenges Bahadar faced was overtrading during high-volatility sessions, such as major news releases or central bank announcements. He admitted that he used to chase rapid market movements without proper confirmation, which led to inconsistent results and losses. Over time, he overcame this by adopting patience, selective trading, and disciplined risk management.
Bahadar also emphasized the importance of psychological strength in trading. He credits his ability to manage emotions, maintain discipline, and learn continuously as key factors in achieving consistent results. Experiencing drawdowns taught him that losses are part of the process, not personal failures, and reinforced the value of resilience in the markets.
When asked about his success in The5%ers’ evaluation program, Bahadar explained that a combination of risk discipline, selective trading, patience, and continuous improvement enabled him to complete the first level and earn his funded account.
