In a recent interview, Itodo, a dedicated trader from B State, Nigeria, discussed his journey and experiences with FundedNext. With three years of trading experience, Itodo shared his transition from demo trading to successfully funding his account in 2023.
When asked about his trading style, Itodo revealed that he primarily trades gold, utilizing various strategies, including technical patterns and supply and demand zones. He emphasized the importance of technical analysis, stating, “While it can be learned quickly, the real challenge lies in mastering the psychology of trading.”
Despite facing challenges with internet connectivity in Nigeria, Itodo has managed to adapt to using Starlink, which has significantly improved his trading experience. He described his trading approach as predominantly day trading, employing time frames ranging from the 5-minute chart for entries to the 4-hour chart for overall trends.
Reflecting on his path to profitability, Itodo noted that while technical skills can be acquired, the psychological aspect of trading takes time and experience to develop. He remarked, “Demo accounts can help technically, but they don’t build the psychological resilience needed for live trading.”
Itodo also expressed a desire for improvements at FundedNext, particularly regarding payout certificates, which he feels are essential for legitimacy in Nigeria’s financial landscape. He suggested that quicker issuance of these certificates would serve as important documentation for traders earning in dollars.
He concluded by mentioning the need for increased engagement in Nigeria, as many traders have not had opportunities to connect through meetups or events recently.
