In a recent interview with FundedNext trader Peter Mamza, he provided valuable insights into his journey and success in Forex trading. Mamza, based in Abuja, Nigeria, has been actively trading for six years, specializing in Forex as his primary occupation following his studies in telecommunication engineering.
Mamza attributed his breakthrough in profitability not only to his trading strategy but also to a significant shift in mindset. He emphasized the importance of patience and discipline, noting that waiting for high-quality trading setups rather than forcing trades has been crucial to his success.
“My strategy revolves around support and resistance levels,” Mamza explained. “I look for areas where price fails to break, wait for a breakout, and enter on a retest. It’s a simple yet effective approach.”
When asked about his preferred trading instruments, Mamza revealed a penchant for trading gold due to its volatility, which aligns with his strategy of short-term trading on hourly and five-minute charts.
Regarding risk management, Mamza disclosed that he adheres to strict guidelines, risking 4% of his account per trade with a profit target of 10%. He highlighted the importance of managing emotions and avoiding overtrading, strategies he has honed over years of experience.
Mamza also shared his unique approach to account management, preferring to manage multiple smaller accounts rather than larger ones. “I found success in buying smaller accounts in larger quantities,” he stated. “This approach has reduced pressure and allowed me to focus on each trade setup more effectively.”
Also, reflecting on his experience with FundedNext, Mamza praised the platform for its reliability and transparency, contrasting it favorably with previous encounters with other prop firms. He expressed satisfaction with FundedNext’s efficient payout system and supportive customer service, which have contributed to his trading confidence.
Looking ahead, Mamza suggested improvements such as more frequent payout options, which would benefit traders like him who prefer longer trading cycles with fewer trades per account.
